Residential Leasing Agent

TalentWorld is partnering with a well-established and growing real estate organization in Halifax seeking an experienced Residential Leasing Agent to join its high-performing team. This is an opportunity to step into a visible, client-facing role where relationship-building, market knowledge, and customer service drive success.

As a Residential Leasing Agent, you’ll be responsible for leasing residential properties, guiding prospective tenants through the rental process, managing tenant relationships, and collaborating closely with property management and marketing teams to ensure high occupancy and tenant satisfaction. If you’re energized by working with people, showcasing properties, and closing leases, this role offers the platform to thrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Generate and respond to rental inquiries to build and maintain a strong leasing pipeline
  • Identify new leasing opportunities through advertising, online listings, referrals, and community outreach
  • Conduct property tours and showcase residential units to prospective tenants
  • Screen applicants and support the application and approval process
  • Negotiate lease terms and prepare leasing documentation
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with tenants, owners, and internal partners
  • Collaborate with property management and marketing teams to align leasing strategies and campaigns
  • Track leasing activity, prepare reports, and support occupancy targets
  • Stay informed on local rental market trends and housing regulations
  • Attend open houses, community events, and networking opportunities as needed

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of experience in residential leasing, property management, sales, or customer service

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, real estate, or a related field (an asset)

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management or leasing software

  • Confident, approachable personality with excellent customer service skills

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills

  • Professional presence in one-on-one and group settings
