Responsibilities
  • Repairing and maintaining shop machinery and equipment.
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely.
  • Keeping the workshop clean, organized, and hazard-free.
  • Handling materials, lifting items, and assisting with assembly tasks.
  • Stocking shelves and managing inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Supporting skilled technicians with hands-on project work.
  • Following all safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate (Grade 12 or equivalent)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a natural interest in how things work
  • Hands-on experience using basic hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and prolonged standing
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Previous workshops, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial work experience
  • Experience reading basic blueprints, schematics, or equipment manuals
  • Formal training or certification in a mechanical field is considered an asset
  • Valid safety certifications (e.g., Forklift, WHMIS) are considered an asset
  • Class 5 driver’s license and own transportation are a strong asset
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to provide two professional references
  • Able to start immediately
