Residential Property Manager

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of multi-unit residential properties
• Lead and support on-site teams to ensure properties are well maintained and running smoothly
• Ensure maintenance issues are resolved efficiently and cost-effectively
• Drive leasing activity and collaborate with staff to keep vacancies low
• Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and performance tracking
• Supervise, coach, and conduct performance reviews for portfolio staff
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and service schedules
• Build strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and internal teams

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience managing multiple residential properties
• Strong leadership skills with proven supervisory experience
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, heating, sprinklers, etc.)
• Familiarity with building envelopes (roofs, windows, concrete, brick)
• Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software (an asset)

Employment Details
Salary: The typical hiring range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year and is specific to candidates located in Halifax. The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills and competencies, and you'll have room to grow after you join!

Schedule: 5 days in Halifax Office
