Responsibilities
  • Build high-quality roof and floor trusses from blueprints and specs.
  • Operate tools and machinery like saws, nail guns, and presses.
  • Perform quality checks on materials and finished trusses.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets.
  • Load, unload, and organize materials to maintain workflow.
  • Strictly follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Be adaptable and willing to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years of experience in truss assembly, framing, or carpentry
  • Forklift certification is a strong asset
  • Proficient with hand and power tools (saws, nail guns, drills)
  • Able to read blueprints and use tape measures accurately
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for full shifts
  • Must have steel-toe boots and a hi-vis vest
  • Able to pass a criminal record check
  • Able to provide 2–3 professional references
  • Able to work either 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday to Thursday or 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday to Thursday
  • Able to start Mid-February 2026 (may change depending on business need it could start earlier)
Employment Details
  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday, either 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM Monday to Friday or 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday to Thursday
  • Location: Rocky View County, Alberta (area near Costco Balzac)
  • Type: Contract
  • Hours: 40-44 hours per week
  • Compensation: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM shift: $23.00/hour (no shift premium) and 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM shift: $24.00/hour (with shift premium)
  • Additional Info: Possibility of extension; overtime available
