B2B Sales Director Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Market Expansion
- Define and implement B2B sales strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
- Develop targeted go-to-market plans by customer segment and vertical.
- Establish KPIs, sales forecasts, and budget planning to drive growth.
- Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
- Develop training programs to enhance team skills and effectiveness.
- Set team and individual targets; provide coaching and performance feedback.
- Build a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction through strategic client engagement.
- Manage key accounts and partnerships with a long-term relationship focus.
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee the entire sales lifecycle from lead to closure.
- Collaborate with product management to ensure solutions align with customer needs.
- Influence product development through market and customer insights.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Customer Support to deliver seamless customer experiences.
- Support new product launches and lifecycle management from a sales perspective.
- Oversee sales operations including pipeline management, CRM systems, and process improvements.
- Leverage AI tools and data analytics to drive sales productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements; deliver executive-level sales reporting.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive B2B sales leadership experience, ideally in technology, security, or IoT industries.
- Proven track record of exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets and scaling sales organizations.
- Expertise in channel development, strategic partnerships, and sales team management.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and analytics tools.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills with demonstrated leadership success.
- Strategic Market Insight – Ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.
- Results-Driven Leadership – Skilled at motivating teams and driving sales performance.
- Relationship Management – Effective at building trust and long-term partnerships.
