TalentWorld is recruiting a Fleet Technical Manager (Aviation) in Calgary, Alberta for one of our partners.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the technical and financial performance of aircraft maintenance projects globally.
  • Develop and approve maintenance work scopes for lease transitions and acquisitions.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers on lease compliance and contracts.
  • Conduct on-site technical audits and inspections at lessee facilities worldwide.
  • Provide expert technical analysis to guide aircraft purchasing, sales, and lease decisions.
  • Evaluate and approve maintenance reserve claims.
  • Coordinate aircraft deliveries, redeliveries, and transitions with internal teams.
  • Ensure all activities meet regulatory and lease agreement requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Engineering, or Business.
  • Valid Transport Canada AME M2 or E license.
  • 7+ years in a senior aircraft maintenance or technical role, 2+ years specifically in aircraft leasing, asset management, or technical contract management.
  • Direct hands-on experience on Dash 8, CRJ, or 737 Classic/NG aircraft.
  • Experience with aircraft import/export regulations and procedures is preferred.
  • Proficiency in maintenance tracking software (CAMP, Traxxall) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical clauses in aviation lease agreements (e.g., CLAUSE, ABA).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a willingness to travel internationally.
  • Formal training or certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or financial analysis is a strong asset.
