Machinist
TalentWorld is recruiting a Machinist in Oakville, ON.
Are you an experienced Machinist who takes pride in precision work and craftsmanship? Do you enjoy working with both CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality parts in a clean, organized environment? If so, this could be the opportunity for you.
This full-time position offers the chance to join a respected manufacturer known for quality, innovation, and teamwork. You’ll set up and operate CNC and manual equipment to machine, grind, and finish components to exact specifications.
Machinist Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, and grinders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Select tools, adjust offsets, and perform accurate measurements.
- Machine parts to tight tolerances and complete finishing operations.
- Inspect and verify quality using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform light equipment maintenance and keep the work area 6S organized.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and quality.
Machinist Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of CNC milling and turning setup and operation experience.
- Skilled in drilling, boring, and threading on a variety of metals.
- Strong blueprint reading and mathematical skills.
- Experience holding tolerances within ±0.001”.
- Proficient with micrometers, verniers, and calipers.
- Conversational CNC programming experience an asset.
- Demonstrates initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
Employment Details:
- Full-time, Permanent
- Location: Oakville, ON
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift
- Compensation: $30.00–$40.00 per hour with overtime and benefits
- Language: English required
