TalentWorld is recruiting a Medical Administrative Assistant in Vancouver, British Columbia for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, scheduling appointments and managing paperwork.
- Verify patient information, handle inquiries, and facilitate referrals as needed.
- Prepare examination rooms, assist physicians during procedures, and perform basic medical tasks.
- Maintain accurate records, process billing, and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Manage inventory and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide efficient patient care.
- Previous experience working in a medical office or clinic setting highly desirable.
- Certification as a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) or equivalent designation preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as MedAccess, OSCAR EMR, or AccuroEMR, preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing software, such as Dr. Bill or Telus Health eClaims, an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Adherence to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
- Salary: $50,000 - $57.000
- Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Contract to Permanent, Full-Time, Onsite
- Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
- Other: 6 months contract, possibility of extension and becoming permanent.
