TalentWorld is recruiting a Property Accountant in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for multiple properties.
  • Develop and monitor property budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including rent collection, vendor payments, and invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax planning and reporting.
  • Manage lease agreements, including rent escalations, lease renewals, and tenant relations.
  • Analyze property operating costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support property management decisions and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with property managers, owners, tenants, and other stakeholders to communicate financial information effectively and address inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist in audits of property financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize accounting software and financial tools to accurately track and report property financial data.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of real estate industry regulations and practices is a plus.
Employment Details
  • Salary: $60.000 - $80.000
  • Benefits: Standard benefits, 40 hours weekly, Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
