TalentWorld is recruiting an AP Transaction Services Team Lead in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient processing of invoices and payments.
  • Manage end-to-end AP processes, including invoice verification, approvals, and vendor relations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor team performance and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams for seamless operations.
  • Train and develop team members for growth and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional designation such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes, regulations, and best practices, particularly within the Oil and Gas industry preferrably.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives and implementing automation solutions to streamline accounts payable processes.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to accounts payable operations.
