Responsibilities of the payroll accounting technician position:
- Produce payroll for approximately 1,000 unionized and non-unionized employees, verify and submit payroll
- Make changes to employee files (creation of new employees, salary adjustment, change of address, departure, etc.)
- Track payments and adjustments
- Generate payroll reports and verify hours and applicable rates according to collective agreements; make the necessary corrections in the operational system
- Invoice certain contracts
- Accomplish all other related tasks
- DEC in administrative techniques, accounting or any other relevant training;
- 2 to 3 years of experience in payroll processing / administration / accounting;
- Bilingualism (English and French oral and written);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate/advanced Excel);
- Good analytical mind
- Permanent
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm; Hybrid (3 days remote)
