TalentWorld is recruiting a Paralegal Associate (Mid-Senior) in Vancouver, British Columbia for one of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research, analyze statutes, regulations, and case law to support attorneys in case preparation.
  • Draft and review complex legal documents, including contracts, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive case files, including electronic records, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and other trial materials, and providing courtroom support as needed.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other legal staff to develop case strategies and contribute valuable insights based on your experience.
  • Handle billing processes efficiently, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments, leveraging your experience in this critical area.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in laws and regulations, proactively sharing insights and recommendations with the team.
  • Mentor junior paralegal staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or legal department.
  • Demonstrated expertise in legal research, document drafting, and case management.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in legal software and technology, with the ability to adapt to new tools and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with billing processes and familiarity with legal billing software is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all aspects of work.
Employment Details
  • Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 annually
  • Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Permanent role, Full-time, Onsite
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
