TalentWorld is recruiting Operations Trade Settlement Officer III for one of our clients.


Operations Officer III Responsibilities:
  • Execute trade settlements accurately and in a timely manner and confirm trades with counterparties and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Resolve any discrepancies in trade settlements promptly and utilize strong Excel skills to generate comprehensive reports on trade activities, settlements, and reconciliation.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and distribute reports to relevant stakeholders as needed and act as a point of contact for traders regarding trade settlements, account inquiries, and operational issues.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to trader inquiries and escalate issues, as necessary.
  • Always maintain professional and courteous communication with traders.
  • Maintain accurate records of trade settlements, transactions, and financial data.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of internal accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to reconcile discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Stay informed of regulatory rules and compliance requirements relevant to trade settlements and operations.
  • Ensure all trade settlements and processes adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
  • Assist in audits and regulatory inquiries by providing necessary documentation and information.
Operations Officer III Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in trade settlements and operations within the financial industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory rules and compliance requirements in the financial industry.
  • Experience with reconciliation processes and internal controls is preferred.
Employment Details:
  • Salary: $24.74 an hour
  • Benefits: 40 Hours Weekly, Hybrid (2 on-site, 3 days remote)
  • Duration: 1 year contract with possibility of extension
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm 
  • Location: Toronto, ON
