TalentWorld is recruiting a Payroll Analyst in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, verifying, and inputting employee timekeeping data.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and deductions.
  • Prepare and file payroll taxes accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, tax withholdings, and deductions.
  • Manage payroll software systems to ensure data integrity and troubleshoot issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to coordinate payroll activities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency through automation or process enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and administration.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems, such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze payroll data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees and other departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot payroll-related issues effectively.
  • Experience with benefit administration and knowledge of employee benefits programs is a plus.
Employment Details
  • Benefits: 40 Hours weekly, Permanent, Full-Time, Hybrid/Onsite
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
